Q: Can you create a searchable database for my documents?
Ans: Yes, we can create a searchable database for your documents. This will enable you to search normal and hidden documents using words contained in them.
Q: Will I be able to sign documents electronically?
Ans: Files with Adobe Acrobat have excellent secure electronic signature facilities, which can be adopted as legally binding contracts for e Business.
Q: Can you convert my paper files into editable Microsoft Word documents?
Ans: Yes, but we advice you to intimate this at the scanning stage, so that we can adjust the scanning resolution accordingly to accommodate the Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The quality of the resulting Microsoft Word document depends on the scanning resolution and the quality of the original paper document.
Q: Will I be able to make changes or add notes to the scanned documents?
Ans: You can annotate or edit Word documents once you copy them to your hard drive or any other read/write media. However, only limited editing of PDF documents can be accomplished. PDF documents can be made password-secure upon your request.
Q: Is it possible to scan paper documents that are damaged or bound?
Ans: Yes, Paper documents which are damaged, torn, or bound are not suitable for sheet-feed scanning but they can be scanned with the help of flatbed scanners. Please provide us with information regarding the condition of your paper documents when requesting a quote.
Q: What are the measures adopted to ensure security and confidentiality of the data provided by me?
Ans: All process at ScanningIndexing are designed carefully to ensure foolproof security and confidentiality of the data and information provided to us through stringent privacy policy implementations that conform to international standards. We also have our employees sign a non disclosure agreement at the beginning of any engagement which is based on client specifications. We are also ready to adopt any additional measures suggested by our clients.
Q: How do you ensure quality of scanning and indexing projects?
Ans: We adhere to stringent Quality Assurance procedures. It consists of Image Quality Review, Batch File Quality Review, and Quality Control Reports. We perform both visual and automated computer checks on all images scanned, and data entered. All members of the staff involved in the work are highly qualified and experts in their area of specialization
Q: What options are the options for PDF conversion?
Ans: There are 3 main types of PDF conversion:
- Image only - A raw image format like a TIF file
- Normal - A fully OCR converted and compact format
- Image + Hidden Text – As above but fully word searchable
